Michelle Swallow is one of three Labour Party councillors for the Clayton & Fairweather Green ward in Bradford. First elected in 2012, she has worked tirelessly for local people and served on many committees representing the whole district.
She is currently an Executive Assistant attached to Neighbourhoods and Safer Communities, and has experience of working with different departments on the Council to improve the lives of residents. One of her greatest achievements was to be given the role of District Play Champion which enables her to have a say on the provision of activities for local children.
Michelle will be defending her seat in the local council elections, which take place on Thursday 5th May. Please support Michelle so she can continue working hard on behalf of all the residents in the ward.
On the same day as the local elections, there will also be votes across West Yorkshire to elect your Police and Crime Commissioner, who is charged with securing efficient and effective policing across the county. The first PCC election took place in November 2012, with Labour’s Mark Burns-Williamson winning in the second round of voting. Over the past few months I have worked closely with Mark and the local police forces in my post as Executive Assistant, and he has continued to deliver on his promises. This year he will be recruiting an extra 300 bobbies on the beat and protecting Bradford’s PCSOs – who are vital in keeping local communities safe. He has continued to demonstrate he has the judgement, experience and dedication to protect our communities and do the job.
Mark is standing for re-election this May, and I fully endorse him as my preferred candidate.
