“As our local Councillor, Michelle Swallow has been an inspiration and an ambassador for women, making a difference within the District and for myself. She has supported me in all the ventures I have been part of within my local community of Lower Grange.

I have run a Voluntary Group for 7 years at Lower Grange Community centre called Camouflage Crew and Michelle always goes that extra mile to support and encourage what we are providing for the community. She has been involved in Sponsored Walks and encouraging the young people to achieve and be better citizens for the future. I feel she is a role model for younger generations and she will continue to be a valuable Councillor for the future, being a proactive and involved Councillor.”

“Since I first met Michelle and campaigned with her to win her seat as a Councillor for Clayton and Fairweather Green, I’ve been impressed with her determination and hard work for people across the ward. She’s a great team player and a great politician who is not afraid to fight on behalf of our residents. I am proud to be her election agent, and hope local people re-elect Michelle to continue delivering for local people.” – Councillor Carol Thirkill, Labour councillor for Clayton and Fairweather Green

“For years we’ve had residents trying to get a play area for the kids of Lower Grange and we asked and asked but nothing happened until Michelle was elected. Michelle told me she would try and get it done for us. I’ve heard it before from politicians but Michelle delivered. I know I can just pick up the phone to her and she gets straight onto dealing with what the community needs.” – Graham Ball, local resident and Chair of the Lower Grange Community Association

“Michelle demonstrates compassion and integrity in all her work. Michelle is a people person first, a politician second. Michelle’s politics are practical, making a real local difference to local communities.” – Mike Clifford, Clayton resident

“Since Michelle has been on the Council representing Clayton & Fairweather Green I have been thoroughly impressed with her hard work, dedication and commitment to serving her community.” – Councillor Arshad Hussain, Portfolio Holder for Neighbourhoods and Safer Communities
